Driven by our knowledge-sharing mindset, in 2023 we launched our first juniorship programme. Now, you may ask yourself, what is juniorship? Well, let us explain. 🙂

Internship vs juniorship

We don’t believe in the typical idea of internship, in which students don’t get compensated for their work or are compensated with a minimum hourly rate, performing dull tasks during a couple weeks long internship.

Rather, we see juniorship as an important way to develop new skills and interests for people who are at the beginning of their careers. Through this program, we give young individuals the opportunity to learn first-hand by participating in real projects and enhancing their theoretical knowledge with excellent practical experience. We don't believe in the concept of interns carrying coffee around the office. Instead, our students are provided with top-notch equipment and are actively involved in all important activities, from weekly code reviews to team-building events.

The juniorship practiced at Leapwise involves a smaller number of participants compared to usual practices, as we consider individualized, one-on-one guidance to be the most effective approach. This approach offers participants a personalized development plan based on their existing knowledge and future development interests, along with the full attention of the team and a dedicated mentor.

The wide spectrum of knowledge gained during juniorship at Leapwise also includes learning from experts, backed by additional internal training, seminars, and workshops, along with access to advanced tools and technologies.

Acquiring practical knowledge about real projects, developing complex products, understanding client and market needs, and experiencing teamwork, along with expanding one's professional network by connecting with key individuals in the company and the industry, provides participants with a competitive advantage. In other words, juniorship is a way to learn while doing, and its name is derived from the fact that we turn interns into juniors:

Speaking of, we’ll launch a new juniorship cycle in September. Subscribe to ourto stay up-to-date!
